Welcome to one of the largest and most diverse arts and media schools in the nation, Columbia College of Chicago. This eclectic, urban community located in Chicago's arts and education corridor is located in the South Loop of Chicago, established in 1890. The entire city serves as a social, cultural, educational, and professional resource for this school, a college of about 9,500 students in 65 undergraduate and 15 graduate programs. Columbia College has a notable Fine and Performing Arts center, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Media Arts, and Business and Entertainment centers.
While visiting this campus your group can visit the theater, speech, dance, media production, or Getz Theater centers. There are also 4 residence centers and over 85 organizations hosting visitors. This ‘for creatives, by creatives’ school allows visitors to take campus tours in this dynamic urban backdrop with an active student community, from general to topic specific, as well as sit in on student performances, gallery showings, lectures, readings, and performances. Before you go you can stop at the university cafe for a lunch just as diverse as the students, or the campus gift shop for Columbia themed souvenirs and knick knacks
