In 1958 the LEGO brick was invented, changing the course of playtime for millions of children across the globe. The success of this toy spread like wildfire, and soon after its invention many people started crowding the LEGO factories to see how this new toy favorite is made, making a need for fun, hands-on LEGOLAND establishments such as the one here in Chicago! LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Chicago was built in 2008, being the premier family attraction for kids ages 3-12. This center has various rides, a 4D Cinema, and a variety of top LEGO attractions throughout its convenient location near the Woodfield Mall in Chicago. The center recommends parents and children plan to spend 2-3 full hours within this complex, but have seen guests stay for over 6 hours having a great time the whole time. Unfortunately, adults must be accompanied by children to attend this entertainment attraction, however there are occasional ‘adult nights’ within this giant playground as well.
Your group of youngsters is going to love this Chicago classic attraction, it’s just like jumping into the world's biggest box of LEGO bricks! They can let their imagination run wild as they learn top building tips from Master Model Builders, join their favorite LEGO characters in the 4D cinema experience, pedal fast on the huge Technicycle ride, or just find unique places to build their own creations. Head over to the new immersive Pirate Adventure Island, the Miniland Chicago, Jungle Expedition, Kingdom Quest Laser Ride, or the popular Factory Tour. During this tour your group will learn how bricks are made from Mr. Brick a Brack, from plastic granulate to the printing and distribution. You’ll even all receive a souvenir freshly made LEGO brick. Be sure to stop by the Cafe or Store on your way out for the full LEGO experience, that is if you think you can pull your group away from this insanely fun toy store full of colorful bricks!
